Hi,
I don’t really understand how plex works and and I don’t know exactly which format of video it can stream, but if you can encode movies on the fly and render them available for streaming, such video should be playable in a browser using HTML5. There must be a way to do it.
It would be really nice to be able to log from any device supporting a browser in a house and be able to see our videos from there. There would be no further use of a plex client on any device supporting a web browser with HTML5 and we could access it world wide.
Maybe it’s not that simple since even the media manager doesn’t allow to preview the files directly from it’s UI.
I would like to know if somebody is working on a web based client of plex or something similar to that.
