The web player and Xbox player will ALWAYS transcode. This results in live tv starting…. playing for a few seconds… then buffering for like 10-20 seconds… then resuming. I tried everything I could to try to stop it from doing this and it almost seems like it is hard coded into plex to do this. I even pushed my HDHR to threadfin and transcoded it BEFORE reaching the plex server. Plex sees the “pre-transcoded” video properly and it will transcode the H264 to H264 (again?). No matter what I do I get the start, buffer 10-20 seconds, start again issue.
