Web player changes to non secure

Server Version#:1.13.9.5456
Player Version#:web version:

I sign into web player:
https://www.plex.tv/

upon clicking launch it changes to:
http://app.plex.tv/desktop?secure=0

It shows the green lock on the server name, but in the browser it is not secure.
Question: Is it really secure?

Does this only happen on this web browser, on this particular computer? Or does it also happen on all other computer in your local network?

Does this also happen if you access your plex server from outside of your home network?

This happens on both computers off the network and on. two different computers.

http://app.plex.tv/desktop?secure=0

What happens if simply edit the address and set the 0 back to 1 ?
http://app.plex.tv/desktop?secure=1

Please take a look into your router’s settings.
See if you can find a settings related to ‘DNS rebinding protection’
If you find it, put and exemption in there to disable it for the domain plex.direct

Also look for an input field where you can define the ‘DNS Server’ to use.
Normally, this is filled in automatically by your ISP. Set it to the IP address 8.8.8.8 instead.

Then reboot your router and after a few minutes reboot your computer as well.

Oh and don’t use Microsoft Edge as your web browser to access plex. It won’t work (at least for accessing the server in the local network)

Setting it to 1 fixed this issue.
I will check the other later.
Thanks
Rick
