Unfortunately, the problem has not gone away. If you change the option in the subtitles burning subtitles from Auto to Always, the problem with playing movies in DolbyVision will appear again. This is what it looks like in my case. The current version of the app causes additional problems with the subtitles. In the case of movies, it is manifested by the lack of subtitles at the beginning of the movies (5-10 minutes) and at the end of the movie (about 30 minutes to the end), while in series there are no subtitles for 2 minutes. It does not matter whether the subtitles are in srt or txt format, and external or downloaded in the Plex app. The last update was a big mess.

That’s expected. You can’t burn subtitles into a dolby profile 5 video. That requires transcoding which isn’t possible with that format.
