I had two TV shows scheduled to record on Wednesday night.
10:00 PM EDT - Marvel’s Agents of Shield - Channel 505
11:00 PM EDT - The Daily Show - Channel - Channel 690
Both shows appeared in the DVR Guide earlier in the day, but only the Daily Show recorded.
I review the logs, but I do not see any mention of either show. Is this because DEBUG logging is not enabled?
I see a bunch of errors, but they appear to be related to a network attached Vizio TV.
It is possible that Plex Media Server thought you had the episodes already in the library - that can happen if episodes get matched to thetvdb and get changed from what is in the EPG. Earlier this year we stopped matching recordings to thetvdb and preserved the EPG data - that would avoid loss recordings or multiple recordings but if the show was previously matched to thetvdb then we would continue to that.
To find the reason for the recordings to be missed - i would need debug server logs covering the time of the recording and at the end if it did start recording.
Thanks for the guidance. I had deleted the previous episode earlier in the day, as I know there had been issues in the past. I will enable debug logging now, and keep an eye out for the issue.
Earlier in the day, I had upgraded from 1.19.4.2902 to 1.19.4.2935. I’m not sure if this had something to do with it. I was just unusual that one show recorded without an issue while another show did not record.
