I have been storing my tv shows like this:
TVShow
Season 1
TVShow - s01e01 - Pilot
TVShow - s01e02 - Next Show Titlw
season 2
etc…
Problem is I have a show with a hyphen in it. ie ‘-’ so the file entries look like:
TV-Show -s01e01 - The Title
so the line has 3 -'s not two like it expects
Isthere a way around this problem?
You have a few choices.
- Change the show to a “Clean Title” (FileBot does this by default, Sonarr supports
{CleanTitle} )
- Change the primary delimiter.
TV Show/
Season X/
TV Show - SxxExx - optional title here.ext
or
TV-Show/
Season X/
TV-Show.SxxExx.optional title here.ext
Is FileBot a linux thing or a plex thing?
If I change to a Clean Title does Plex still find all the art work and info OK?
Greg
Filebot is a free 3rd-party program that renames media files properly…and Plex loves it.
And, yes, if everything is named properly - or CleanTitle’d - Plex will be able to find all the metadata much easier.
It’s WIN/WIN
