I have iTunes running on one Windows machine and Plex running on another. The actual library is on a NAS and the iTunes instance points to a library file on the NAS in the same directory structure as the media. I don’t want to install iTunes on the Plex server (it is ONLY running Plex and I want to keep it clean.) I see that the import requires that iTunes is running in it’s default directory, but even if they were on the same machine and iTunes was installed at the defaults, the settings would be pointing to the NAS.
So… what is Plex looking for during the library creation?
