What is maximum file size to be viewed on plex? Do work arounds exist?

What is the maximum image size that can be displayed at full-screen size on PLEX? I am finding the limit to be 100MB. PLEX easily processes more information that with regard to video files, and all of my thumbnails display properly in the preview pane - but images larger than 100MB (approx) will not display in full screen.
