Plex says unable to load photo

I have a numbner of folders on a synology NAS, I added them into the Plex Server.

I can see all the thumbnails, but when I click on a photo it says unable to load photo, if I click on the info option it tells me the file is unavailable, not sure if it means the file or the path.

In Win10, if I navigate to the location, the file is there.

The photo is a 600mb jpg file, so not a fancy format.

What am I missing.

Is there a limit tot he pathname length, do you think it is a read/write issue ?

I cant work it out so and help would be appreciated

Plex has a default limitation of 100mb file size for photos. There is an advanced setting where you can change the limit:

Because the knowledge base recommends this, I suggest not making that value much larger than necessary. If your largest image is 600 MB, I’d suggest 610 or so, unless you think you’re likely to exceed that in the near future. If there are performance side-effects of large settings, you’re more likely to run into them the bigger you go. My largest image is 335 MB, so I set the value to “350.” You can always increase it if you exceed it.

thanks for that.

I had a play with permissions on the NAS to make sure Plex had full access to the folders.

Although everything seemed to be correct I messed around and rescanned and the photo’s appeared.
