What the hell is wrong with "On Deck"

Server Version#: I don’t know, latest one for non-plex pass user
Player Version#: same answer, but for firestick, has nothing to do with “on deck”

Why all of a sudden are shows I have never watched using plex magically appearing mid-season as “on deck” These are shows that I watch on xfinity and am saving for my own collection, so why all of a sudden (arrow season 7, episode 6 for example) now is in my on deck. And how come a show like SVU, which I have watched EVERY episode on in plex, this week the most recent episode DID NOT appear on deck? This is the second time this has happened in a week. On deck really needs to be fixed, check feature requests that I am a part of. Now more than ever the user should be given control of this, and able to remove show (s) from on deck with a simple option in the drop down WITHOUT marking things as watched. And now again, next week, “Arrow” is going to show up on deck no matter what I do, since if I mark it as watched, now plex thinks I want to keep it in the “to be watched” list.

What tuner are you using? And are any of these shows shown in your “Recordings” list in the Plex web interface?

Tuner? These are downloaded episodes. The shows appear under “recently added tv” but for example, again, just now, I added tonights NCIS and The Flash, both of which are shows I typically watch on plex after they air. NCIS is under “on deck” and “recently added tv” but of course, the flash is only under “recently added tv” but failed to make it to “on deck” Oh, and Plex, where was my notification of this reply? I happened to come in here to check but was not informed anyone had said anything.

I am having a similar issue … Other users who are watching shows from my plex server are showing in my “on deck” as shows I have watched or are watching.
I use Tautulli to pull stats from the plex server and can see the users that are watching the shows.

That part seems natural @clincoop from what i see (i am not watching “Lore” my brother is. But I thought a plex pass user could create users, not just friends so their watch data was separate. You may want to look into that.

Somewhat similarly, I’ve had a couple shows–which I never watched through Plex–show up with a late/mid-season episode ‘on deck.’

When I mark that episode as played, it’s removed from being on deck. One of the instances the proceeded to show the next episode in the season as on deck. The other show just disappeared from being ‘on deck’ (maybe it was the last episode of the season?).

However! The next time (a day or few later) I look at plex again, the same episodes are back ‘on deck!’ I even played through the episode through plex … and it still showed up ‘on deck’ again some time later. I checked the files, in case the modification time was in the future, or something, but nothing appears amiss.

YAY! As completely expected “Arrow” is still showing up “On Deck” even though I have never watched the show on plex. Yet the brand new season of “Nightflyers” which I thought a premiere episode 1 would automatically go on deck did not.

Having this exact thing happening to me randomly. So many random shows I don’t watch are magically showing up on my “On Deck” on random episodes
