What to do when watch.plex.tv itself is missing metadata?

My recent episodes of Masterchef (US) (specifically, starting with S11E10, which aired Aug. 18 2021), don’t have proper episode titles or descriptions, even though the show itself is matching correctly. TVDb has info for these episodes, but watch.plex.tv just lists the titles as “Episode 10”, “Episode 11”, etc. Is there any way to manually update these episodes on my server from TVDb? Or do I have to wait for watch.plex.tv to pull that info? (Or is there any way I can submit online for those to be updated?)

You report it right here (as you just did); I’ve just forwarded this.

Thanks!

Please also note that watch.plex.tv uses the TMDB ordering so it won’t always match up with TVDB.

And when the problem is with the cast of the movie? What we should in that case?
I’m not even sure if it’s a TMDB problem or a Plex one.

For example the actor Roberto Benigni has 2 profiles in TMDB: one for the real Oscar winner one and another for an obscure director of the same name (no photo and no detailed profile).
TMDB when you look at the movies picks the tight one but Plex apparently picks the wrong one. You can tell because the “wrong” one has no picture.
How do we solve in this case?

@tom80H Found another one, watch.plex.tv is missing the US version of Taskmaster. I’m guessing that on the new Plex TV Series agent, you can’t search by tvdb id any more since no results actually come from there? I’ve had enough issues with the new agent that I’m considering going back to the old agents where I can at least add custom metadata myself :frowning:
