What's the use of enabling Remote Access?

I’m using a Plex Media Server on a Raspberry Pie 4. Everything working smoothly but I don’t understand what’s the point to enable remote access?

I’ve done it and now I can access my Plex Media server with a static external url, but I cannot see any custom content, only the default movies, shows, live tv… from plex.

So, I want to share my library with external people.
It’s best to use the basic sharing feature with another plex user ?
Or is there a way to share my library with external people that don’t have a plex account ?

Yes, you can only share your server with other Plex users.

what’s the point to enable remote access?

The point of enabling remote access is for other Plex clients. You can’t enter a URL is most of those so they wouldn’t be able to find your server. Also, if you share with other users, you don’t necessarily want to share your IP with them.
