When Optimize Database runs, my server becomes unresponsive and inaccessible

Server Version#: Newest beta server (has been happening for months though)
Player Version#: Newest beta, but all clients are affected, beta and stable

I have had this problem for the last several months. Tautulli and all other services that ping Plex are turned off. When Plex runs the scheduled task of optimizing the database, it crashes Plex. Plex docker is actually still up and i dont get any errors in docker logs or in Plex logs. But no one can access Plex, including me locally to admin it.

My database is pretty large, I have about 7500 movies and 40k episodes.

I have seen a few other posts about this but none of them have any responses on them. I have also noticed that Tautulli can crash my server when it checks the database.

I have also checked and tried to repair for any corruption. It didnt seem like there was any corruption. I have a ton of available space for the database.

This issue has persisted across many many versions of Plex Beta Server, and I tried Binhex, Linux Server and Official Plex Docker images.

It seems like my optimization is taking way too long. I think that is the core issue. Instead of taking a minute or two, its taking like 30 minutes or more. I am attaching my logs.Plex Media Server Logs_2021-09-16_17-32-53.zip (4.7 MB)

I’ve been experiencing crashes, too. I’ve been going through yours and mine’s logs, but haven’t found similarities. I’ve noticed that your plex doesn’t even realize it crashed and doesn’t create/send a crashreport. the oldest one you got was from 14th sept

in my logs I’ve noticed that crashes sometimes when scheduled tasks starts and when the new downloads fails on my android device.

Yea it doesn’t know it crashes. It’s very odd, but no errors.
