When plex.tv authentication broke yesterday, my User profiles protected by PIN were inaccessible

Hi
Yesterday, 2nd feb 2022, when the Plex Authentication Service went down for a period of time, my user profile (I’m a plex pass user) that is pin protected was unreachable. My pin was rejected by the client on both LGTV and Roku.

I have a separate profile for the kid’s libraries which is not pin protected - this was reachable (as I was not challenged for a PIN).

So it seems that I cannot access my own locally stored media (on PIN protected profiles) in a plex client when the Plex server-side authentication fails.

Can this be fixed please? Can the PIN be encrypted and cached locally for local verification? (Or some other solution).

Being unable to view my locally hosted media with a locally installed client because a cloud service has failed seems like a bug to me.

Thanks
