If I go to library view and start scrolling through, then I click on a film to see full details, when I return to library, (i.e go back), the library goes back to the start and I have to scroll all the the way through again. Very annoying to keep being returned to the top of the library. I have tested on the android tv and firestick and independent tv hub. All do the same thing. Only time this does not occur is on a pc. So this appears to be app related only.

Yeah, the android player has kind of gone to crap lately. It’s had this bug and a few others, and not much appears to be done about it.
I suspect the devs are working on a brand-new ground-up player to replace it, and are giving up on development of the old client.
I get this too, but the only time I really notice it happening is if additional content is being added to my library at the same time that I’m browsing.
I went here: Plex for Android - #338 by romancamelia. I downloaded an older Plex client version 8.31.2.31546 for Google Play arm64v8a and it no longer goes back to the start. I’m using a 2019 Shield so arm64v8a was appropriate.
UPDATE: I sided-loaded a bunch of different versions of the APK and found that Plex for Android 9.3.1 worked best.
