When switching users I still see last persons content?

I have a variety of media players including pc, fire tv sticks and roku tv’s and roku sticks. I have the current plex version 4.12.3 running on a windows pc that is win 10 v1909.

Since the latest plex release I have issues when switching user profiles. When we switch users we still see the content from the previous users watch history and they can also access folders they are normally not able to access. My kids can jump on the profile and play my adult shows they wouldn’t normally be able to access. When it does this is has the proper users profile name but not the content. This is happening on all devices from all manufacturers.

Any idea on how to fix it?

lucky777, while I have no idea how to fix this for you (I don’t use user switching, and am just a regular user like yourself). I simply would like to thank you for clearly posting what is going on, and not being angry/aggressive about it. Cheers to you for being a good person :slight_smile:

I have the same issue. I will switch users and Plex will show the On Deck for the previous user. The only way I have found to fix the issue is to restart the device (reboot the FireTV).

Also seeing this issue. It happens on both my older FireTV stick, as well as the new 4k stick.

Interesting. After further testing it’s working fine on my Android devices and on my PC now. The Roku seem fine and it does seem to just be the fire TVs and Fire TV sticks

I’m seeing the same problem but it’s combined with this issue: User Switching is Broken

I open the app, where it auto selects my account, but then when I go to select a different account, the app just gets stuck on a spinner. If i press back to cancel the user switching, and try again, then I get in, but all the content are from the auto selected account, even though the app shows that I am on the different account I selected.

Same problem here. Really starting to piss the wife off a lot. Using latest server builds for linux on both my servers, and happens on my shield and android apps. Have to force close the app to switch users, and sometimes you have to do that twice to actually load content of the other user.

One server is a local server, the other is remote. Both are my servers on my Plex Pass account. Not sure why this isn’t a more talked about issue, perhaps affected only select users or specific use cases like one local and one remote server. IDK but it is very frustrating.
