I am just curious to see if there is any release date yet on the recent announcing of Plex Cloud with Amazon Drive, I just wasted 60 dollars for the unlimited data for Amazon Drive, I really hope it was worth it…

Plex doesn’t comment on potential release dates for features. It will come out of Beta when it is ready. Have you signed up to be selected to test during the beta?
One thing to keep in mind is that Plex has, in the past, rushed some things into production before they were ready and that burned many people and Plex itself. Assuming that Plex learns from experience I would expect them to be quite cautious about moving from beta to release.
However they have already said that they will be gradually adding to the beta pool as the testing continues so I would expect that more beta invites will be forthcoming as time passes.
I wonder if, after beta testing ends, this becomes a premium option that even Plex Pass users will have to pay extra for although Beta testers “may” be grandfathered in. It could also continue to be a Plex Pass only feature to drive more Plex Pass subscriptions.
As far as the actual timing of this moving into “release” status: I think, based on the problems and the deficiencies that exist, it will be at least 4-6 months. The developer of this is good and does not appear to sleep much or, currently, have a life so it is possible that my expectations are too conservative.
The timing of a “beta” test period is often the most unpredictable part of the development process.
Ok I understand, I was just curious as to when Plex Cloud would come out of beta testing, I only asked this out of curiosity, that’s all I’m saying.
One more thing: It just entered beta a few days ago. Hopefully they take all the time needed to get it right and that could easily be months to over a year.
And yes, BrianAz, I have signed up for BETA testing, but I don’t think they will select me though, since I wasn’t an Amazon Drive subscriber when I heard about it but now I am, and I regret jumping to conclusions before making a decision… I do sincerely… I’m speaking this with heart, I don’t really care if they don’t choose me, but I would appreciate it if they would, that would be awesome… but that day I might get to try Plex Cloud may be on the release date… who knows…
I too am very keen to get my hands on Plex Cloud. I have been busily uploading my collection for the last two months and it should hopefully be finished just before my 3 month trial period of Amazon Drive ends. Unfortunately, like you Lethal GTA, I applied for the beta prior to signing up for Amazon Drive and unfortunately couldn’t update my answers to their survey. I can’t wait for this though as I am starting to run out of space AGAIN on my hard drives!! Lol!

Your answers to the survey have no consequence.
Last info that I read here is that its almost unusable until issues are resolved with Amazon. When those issues are solved then further invites will probably be sent out. 
There was an update today. Not major, but it shows it’s being worked on. We are assured, time and again, that Cloud has high priority with the team and that they are working hard to make it usable and open it up to more testers soon. We have no way of knowing when, because as pointed out in the past, the word “soon” can be interpreted in several ways 
Hmm. Hoping to get the invite and start testing - pretty much have unlimited on ACD, GD, DB but no invite yet … anyone get one of late ?
