Hi.
I’m trying to leverage the fact that PLEX downloads the subtitles, by being able to tap into the folder where they are and use them within some other app whenever this is needed.
But the PLEX database isn’t very pervious to searching, with a large amount of “packages” with only numbers. How do I manage to finding a specific .srt subtitles file?
There can be internal subtitles in MKV files.
However, since OP speaks of the subtitles which Plex is downloading, then I don’t assume he is referring to muxed-in subs.
Thanks! This looks very promising.
I have installed it (manually, as I couldn’t see any “channels” option nor any “add plugin” option in the Plugins page).
I am unsure how it works, though.
I have seen the option to download the files “next to the media file” which is just great, and once activated I got a number of options by clicking on it in the plugins page. I have tried “refresh for recently added files” but I could see nothing happening, and even some of the advanced options (“trigger subtitles storage migration”) did just nothing once click on it.
How is this supposed to work? Do I somehow see it… crunching?
SubZero is an ‘Agent’. Agents are activated when you ‘Refresh Metadata’ in Plex.
Do resist the temptation to refresh your whole movies library, though.
You will get blacklisted for ~ 12 or 24 hours after downloading a few dozen subtitles.
