Where did my seek buttons go?

Server Version#: 1.43.2.10687
Player Version#: 1706

Recently the IOS Plex player was updated so that the seek buttons were removed leaving only a pause button available during play. Digging about in the settings I find that the seek button actions are still adjustable, even though the buttoms themselves no longer exist. They are also still present in the Windows client, so I am baffled as to why they were removed from the mobile version.
I use them all the time. Please give them back.

Double tap on either the left (skip back) or right (skip forward).

More awful “improvements”. Helps justify the tripling in price they’re about to implement.

Thank you, But what an idiotic change. How is anyone supposed to know this?

I’ve made this point a few times in other threads. Plex has this continuing bad habit of designing extremely poor UX that often tries to mimic what Netflix, Disney, YouTube, etc, are doing. Just because the Jones’s are doing it doesn’t mean it’s correct and doesn’t mean you should too, Plex!

It’s terrible UX and extremely unfriendly to your users to bake in all these hidden tricks that never get taught to the user until they come here. Stop! Just add buttons and follow standard UX practices. If you don’t know them, do some research and/or hire someone who does.

Or, and here’s a wild idea. Go back to the previous UI/UX that actually worked and was polished. But that’s just too crazy, I know.
