Where do the downloads get stored?

Hi
I am very new to Plex and quite new to computing, so please forgive me.

I have downloaded a couple of T.V programmes, and found them in the downloads section of plex.

Where are the downloads stored? Are they stored on my P.c? If so, where?

I use a windows 10 P.C and the Plex app from the MS store.

I would like to transfer these files to a USB drive to watch later on a standalone player,is this possible?

Thank you all in advance

Just did a test. I use the Plex app I installed myself (not the MS store), but I think that downloaded media go into the same location for both, in
%LOCALAPPDATA%/Plex/Plex Media Server/Sync. In Windows, the full path should be:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Plex\Plex Media Server\Sync. Within that, you might be better to use Windows Search to look for *.mkv or *.mp4 or whatever file format the videos are in. The folders inside Sync are very arbitrarily-numbered for me. For example, the brand new video I downloaded from my server went into a folder called 1, which had over a dozen OTHER numbered folders (numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 12, etc. I do not see a pattern). Within 1 in THAT folder, I found a folder named after the MOVIE (RELEASE YEAR).EXT format, and within that was the file.

Tested just now with a TV Show, and it appeared in the …/Sync/1/14 folder, in a format Showname (year) - SxxExx - Episode Name.ext.

These files should be just as good to use in any other normal video player. If Plex can play the file, VLC should handle it just fine. The file should be an exact copy of the original file (EDIT: I Just checked. The file size is the exact same as the original file, so it appears so).

The above applies to the current Plex for Windows player.

OP however is using the long-deprecated Plex app from the Microsoft app store.
I’ve forgotten where this is storing the downloads.
Sync might even not work at all in this old app.
