Just checked the last 5 movies I added to the plex, and yes, all 5 had the screenshots.
Then I assume this screenshot was lost at some point in the past due to a bug.
I don’t have an idea what could be done to restore it, except a full Plex Dance. (which causes the side effect that it will change the movie’s “Addet At” date to the current date.)
But even this will not really answer the original question of this thread.
It may only provide an answer, whether the screensaver will actually use those still images or not.
right. so if the screensaver does use the movie screenshot images, that could be problematic. might wanna make the screen saver only pull from the currently selected background images if so.
Tried the Plex Dance with Art School Confidential. It didn’t change anything! Weird to say the least, that it did not grab a screen capture image. Did a little movie adding to my library, this is a common occurrence on my server I guess…
added 2 movies at the same time, 1 took a screen shot, 1 did not here are my findings:

So then I was curious. I added 50 movies this time to my server and A LOT more often than not, it DID NOT grab a screen capture for the background nor the poster. (at least, from what we know so far about my server, it does not SHOW that it pulled them, even though that Art School Confidential nudity picture showed up in my screen saver!!)
Any suggestions?

Right, I was just showing that 1 was working to take a screen capture and 1 wasn’t. Here is both Poster and Backgrounds if you want them.
Also, I added 50 more movies (100 now) and I cannot find very many movies that even have the screen capture anymore. It’s like it only does it a few times out of 100.
