Player Version#: 7.24.3.13840
On my shield it look like resolution switching stopped working and disappeared from the option.
It was introduced around 7.24, and I found nothing in the release note mentioning its removal. Is it a bug or a conscious decision? I really really like the feature during the short time it was around
You have me confused… I’ve been using Plex for Android (TV) for some time but never seen this particular feature.
Could you briefly describe where you used to find it and what it did?
I believe Plex isn’t actually changing the resolution of the output… except you’re talking about selecting playback quality on the pre-play screen 
Are you sure this was a feature within Plex or could it have been some overlay of Shield or your TV?
tom: it was a new feature, but believe it had a few issues, assume it will be coming back at a later point, i still have access to enable it so i dont think it is gone for good
It should be linked with the new player, which have also disappeared on my shield
My old Shield has this feature and the new player, I got a new Shield Pro today and Plex is updated but it looks like the new player and resolution switching are gone too.
It is there - for quite some time now on my 2019 shield
I think the ‘new’ experimental player is on the beta release, and must be ‘enabled’ for the resolution/framerate options.
