Where is the Trash folder for Plex Media Server, Win 10

Server Version#: 4.34.4
Player Version#: ?
Where do I find the trash folder for PLEX Media Server in Win 10? Also, how do I view content, and how do I restore a deleted item? I have found the doc for restoring an item.

4.34.4 is the player version of the web player in browser

the server version number will show in the in the general section of your server settings which is under your servers name under General in settings.

There is no trash folder. In Plex when there is a trash can icon on an item that really just means Plex cannot find the file after it’s last scan. if you choose to “empty trash” that is just removing the record from the database.

In any Plex Player like the web player. Not really sure what you mean.

If you selected delete in the menu for something in your Plex Media Server then it deleted the file from your computer immediately

What doc are you refering to?

Hi, BigWheel, thanks for this reply and the answers. After reviewing all the support articles I could find, I don’t see any reason to apply the trash can icon on a Library if you can’t do anything with it…other than delete any remaining metadata. My reference to restoring an item is not really on-point.
https://tinyurl.com/y4nl58du. Sorry.

Say a user accidentally disconnected a USB drive with their media files on it. Plex media Server would not know where they are. It keeps the metadata, database entries, etc so the user can just reconnect the drive without having to re-scan in the media files again.

Oh, I see. I’m still learning.
