The fiber in our neighborhood got cut earlier today and when I went to play an episode of Rick and Morty which is on the server, it claimed that the content was unavailable. Only when the internet was restored was I able to play the content again.
Is there some setting/option that I am missing to enable access to local content when the connection to the outerworld has been severed?
bump… I ran into this as well. No internet = no plex server. It should be able to continue to serve content locally even with no internet; I can understand why it might not get updated meta data but streaming content locally shouldn’t be an issue … but it is; you can’t even connect to the server. I haven’t lost internet in awhile, so I don’t know if this has been resolved but I do recall it being an issue for sure.
I responded to multiple threads that were related to an issue I was having; didn’t realize that was spam to say “I too am having this issue” to multiple threads that contain the samething.
Anyway; if this is expected on how it works; it wasn’t when I signed up for the lifetime plex pass. When I got the lifetime plex pass; I was at least still able to access my content offline, now I can’t.
