Why can't I use Plex cloud.

I purchased lifetime plex pass one of the feature I like is plex cloud and for some reason I don’t have the option to use plex cloud. I do have cloud sync but not the same.

We have disabled server creation for new Plex Cloud users. We’ve been working to address challenges with performance, quality, and overall user experience inherent with cloud provider integrations and are pausing new server creation to evaluate the long term plan for the service. While we evaluate our options, we will continue to support existing Plex Cloud users and will communicate any service changes before they take effect.

The announcement at the top of the Plex Cloud FAQ page states the following:-

All references to Plex Cloud as part of Plex Pass have been removed from other pages on the Plex website so I imagine that this means the end of Plex Cloud in its present form as a free service for all Plex Pass subscribers. It can never have been a viable business proposition for Plex. The cost of providing the necessary infrastructure for three simultaneous transcodes would surely have cost more than the monthly Plex Pass subscription never mind those who have a lifetime subscription & will never pay any more money to Plex.

Hopefully this will mean that Plex are about to launch a separate subscription for Plex Cloud that reflects the cost of providing the service. This could provide a regular & reliable revenue stream for Plex as the current business model of providing major functionality for free but rolling out new features to entice subscriptions to Plex Pass is very precarious. Personally I think that $10/month for Plex Cloud would be an attractive price & viable for Plex.
