Why do I have Plex AND Plex Media Server on my NAS?

Only just noticed that I have TWO Plex folders on my NAS. Plex and now Plex Media Server. Not sure why I never noticed this before. They both appear to a duplicate of the other. Did this happen after a Plex update ? Can I delete one of them ?

I assume the “old” Plex one, not the Plex Media Server ?

Most likely, Plex is a shared folder, pointing to your Library, so do not delete

Which version of DSM are you using?

Are you seeing shared folders “Plex” and “PlexMediaServer” ?

I am running DSM 7.1-42661 Chuck. Now if I open “Plex Media Server” in the Plex folder on my NAS I get a message I’ve not seen before

" The operation can’t be completed because the original item for “PlexMediaServer” can’t be found."

Everything works OK with Plex across my LAN and the TV runs it fine. Odd !
