how do you fix the issue of posters… and shows that you cant fix…
I ripped my dvds of the tv Show Superstition from 2017
I labeled it Superstition (2017) but no poster.. no Fix Match it removes features
I also trying to Wipe out the enter Plex Tags for movies I want it to erase it . and then research.. as some files when I labled I labled wrong and it saved the tags that way.. well I want it to mass erase every single Title Tags etc and research it… how do I do these 2 issues I have
so when I rip my dvds or blue rays to the computer and then have it to my certan folders, then I rename the shows properly.. also same issue with my bobs burger dvds I renamed them but they have the same issue cant fix match its missing and the tag info is gone.. but my other tv shows that have a poster for the main folder can do fix match etc.. so whats wrong why isn’t it finding it!
if even re ripped my dvds and rpoccess the superstition show and bobs burgers a couple times figured it was something I did in ripping my disks.. but still no image and no fix match etc
what did I do wrong setting it up.. do I need to do something different when I rip my dvds so I don’t get these issues?
Match / Fix Match is only available on the show level – not for seasons or episodes.
Nothing has been removed (just checked it myself on my own Plex server).
As for “no metadata showing”… which folder did you add to that Plex tv show library?

Plex doesn’t like it if you add extra folder levels beyond the bare naming schema. I’ve seen examples where pointing the library to the TV Shows folder while having the shows in the subfolder TV Shows > Horror did throw Plex’ scanning/matching off.
Also… which version of Plex Media Server do you have installed?
You’ll need a relatively recent version as older ones use an API that has been broken by TheTVDb.com.
I think I found the issue I had to goto a bigger monitor
when I use program to rename the TV shows the " `` " is not used they use " ’ " that instead dunno why… but I noticed plex cant tell the difference dunno when you use it… as my Bobs burgers Stephen King IT were using " ` " and it couldn’t be fixed till I changed it to " ’ "
so I didn’t know its using the wrong apostrophe I had to use 2 to show as its like a code im guessing for webpages reason why plex cant detect it must think a show is a code so I gotta check everyything
and how you fix the scrolling issue in the left side column
I have 2 servers 1 is a back up of my shows etc
and I have like 30 Folders virtual folders whatever you wanna call it
if I click on my Crime Folder so say you gotta scroll down to see it… when you click it sure it loads the Crime videos in the right side… but then it takes the left colum and resets it back to the top… it will not stay where it supposed to be where its last left off… its like plex is refreshing the entire page
so if 1 is top 100 is bottom… and crime folder is at 50 so middle of the screen… each time click a folder it then goes back to 1 … how do I stop that I want it if I click location 50 it stays at location 50 not location 1
I think that’s a downside if you feel the need to have so many libraries in the first place.
You know that you can easily use Plex’ built-in features to filter a library by genres (among other categories) within a single library? No need to split things to the extreme – there’s more convenient ways to achieve this

then I have
Tv Shows - Action

TV Shows - Sci fi
Tv Shows - Western

that’s how I broke it up as I don’t know how to filter it for all the Genres of movies and tv shows
but I still finding issues no posters for some tv shows…
refreshing meta tags doesn’t work and they are named properly and they don’t have the apostrophe
so is there a way to blanket fix the TAGS and the meta tag and download as I invidiually scan metta tag on each on or FIX MATCH and I click it the right match it does the circle but doesn’t fix itself even after a refresh
Plex allows organizing your media based on its metadata.
You can have a single library for movies as well as for tv shows.
You can then use the filter function to show only items that belong to a certain genre. This will usually provide better results than splitting the libraries as movies tend to have multiple genres. ya that drives me nuts… with the way I have it is nice… but if an actor is in a tv show or a movie hes not linked to both drives me absolutely bonkers… ill try to follow that link and try what you guys have
as I go nuts between the blank posters the apostrophe to the no linkin between movies and tv shows drves me headaches lol and the scrolling…
but ill try that maybe it will fix my posters issue
plus the direct play buffering issues with XBOX ONE plex app drives me bananas
maybe you guys know is there a trick
if when doing your movies even though its labled right
so say its DIE HARD (1985) that if it lables it as Days Of Thunder (1990) (years I just made up)
but is there a trick that if it labels it wrong it puts it in a folder called possibly mismatch
that way you don’t have to scroll your whole database trying to find if they all there or if you have a movie but its not even the right one
is there a trick for that… as I have erased the plex a few times trying to clean it up and it always finds it wrong same movie etc…
and what causes when I get meta to work ok I guess I get the poster for the video… for a tv show… then 15 min later the poster for the episodes and the main poster for th tv show is gone…
it wasn’t there then it was and then its gone again…

I like the collections tab to link movies together like 48 hours and Another 48 hours but it shows the collection under library… is there a way to make Library ONLY show movie names… and under collections it shows the movies linked together
as under library… it does 45 hours another 48 hours 47 hours 2 movies… so its counting all that as a library… so its giving false numbers on how many movies your have
is there a way to keep collections in collections library are physical movies? and not the virtual collections one
so you see the 2 21 22 jump streets aren’t linked.. but they belong together
but you see another 48 hours shows 2 movies but counts as a movie but that 2 movies should be only under collections;… can I fix that or is that another issue plex cant distinguish as I dunno why
but if that’s normal I keep learning this filter stuff… as I just used to my tabs on the left side lol

jump street doesn’t have a collections there
You have to edit the movie - or group of movies (by selecting each one via the little circle in the upper left) - then Create (by Typing in the Name) or Add to (by finding a Collection in the list):
Then you can edit the collection (by hovering over it’s pencil) and in the advanced section select the display options - and set a Sort Title to put the Collection on the page where you want it - if Alpha isn’t quite right.
ah such a pain for people that have massive movie lists… it be a full time job just to edit everyone lol
you need 1000 people creating all the tags for each movie and then plex could link better lol
unless you gotta buy the full version instead of the free part of plex… like a premium service you get better sorting lol
