Is it the container itself, the container format? (Does MKV or Mp4 make a difference?)
Any news on when this bug may be fixed?
For the last week or so Dolby Vision files won’t transcode at all, just gives an error saying “could not transcode because: File is unplayable. Color space is not supported”
Yeah no that sounds like a specific issue with your setup, app, or tv or something.
What I’m asking about is why is it if I play DV video, regardless if it’s profile 8 or 5, when you choose to transcode the audio instead of direct stream it, the video will no longer show as DV but in profile 8 fallback to just HDR or play in green/purple with profile 5.
It’s a well documented issue with unanswered previous threads like this.
Why is Dolby Vision not able to play in Plex android app when audio is being transcoded?
Any bug fix in sight?
