When I play music it stops after 20 mins.
It does it on 2 different branded tv’s, Hisense and TCL. Plex on Hisense is running through Firestick 4k ,the TCL just as an uploaded app on the TV
I did a search on this and back in 2019 it talked about “Crappy Nappy” which i assume is no longer relevant.
It also talked about turning off “Screen Saver” which I cant find as an option now.
This is being causes by the Fire Stick turning off. I guess the issue is the Plex app not communicating it’s being used or something to FireOS when playing music. It clearly stays on fine when watching video content.
The only real “workaround” I have is I coincidentally ended up replacing my Fire Stick to one that supports their “Ambient Experience” mode (which is something any Fire Stick should be able to support really, they are just gatekeeping it as a feature for new ones). With that feature the Fire Stick does not go into sleep mode so soon, and instead will display a rotation of artwork/video on screen – and it allows apps to play audio in the background still (even gives you an Artist/Song display in the upper right that works with Plex). So I can play music much longer now with Plex than I could on my old Fire Stick.
