While I’m watching a series on Plex I will pause for about 10min having to go do something else. After coming back I find that after the buffering in the player my video will freeze and not start up again until I refresh the browser.
Is there any reason this will happen?

This explains your problem. Add more interval or not pause as I do and use back only and resume when needed.
Found in your Plex Server Network settings, default is 1 Minute.
