why does my Plex media server disappear randomly?

I have P.M.S. running on my pc, which I have set up never to sleep. I can see the server running in the notification area of the toolbar, but when I hit open plex, it doesn’t show up. I have to restart PMS, and then I can see it. Been doing this most of the day. Could it be a set up issue with my new ubiquity EdgeRouter X?

“see it” such as from a remote client or it does not appear on localhost through web browser (browse to local IP, not plex.tv/web)? If it is remote, I’d recommend setting it up with a static IP and a manual portforward (well, you should do that regardless :-).

Could it be because I am running two plex servers on my network? I have a public plex (mikesplex), and a personal one(tower), that I have been testing on unRaid. I can’t access mikesplex, regardless of which option I choose, web, ip or ios app. I did have to migrate to a new OS, not sure if that has anything to do with it. There are the logs for mikesplex. Thanks for the help.

mikesplex ip address 192.168.0.110, win 10 pc, HP Z420 workstation, pms version 1.7.3.3937-70f781325

tower plex ip address 192.168.0.232 unraid docker, HP ML10V2, PMS version 1.7.3.3937-70f781325

I have a motorola 6313 modem, Ubiquity EdgeRouter X Router, xycel switch (not sure of model), luxul XGS-1008 switch which connects to both of my computers

when I said public plex, its one I let others use.

Both of these machines reside in my office

I’m glad to know there are no cameras in my house that I do not know about:)
Sorry for the lack of info, I’m at work and trying to do too many things at once. If I a missing any info, please let me know what kind of info might help you.

I’m struggling to get screenshots to work over chrome desktop, but it brings me to the plex login page. I login with my credentials and it takes me to the tower PMS server, not mikesplex. mikesplex isn’t even an option, only tower and cloud (which I have not set up)
Thanks for the replys

I did try that, but the only options I still have are tower and cloud. Mikesplex isn’t an option.

I have to get this project done at work. I will try more troubleshooting when I get home. Bossman isn’t happy I’m not getting his stuff done…about 3 hours or so, I’ll be back. Thank you again.

I just stopped the plex server on unRaid and still can’t access my other server, mikesplex.

Any ideas?

Could it be something with the copy/paste of the appdata plex folder when I updated my OS? I’m at a loss now.

I restarted plex, and now it shows up, but for how long?

Here is a new log just zipped a few minutes ago. Must be some network issues happening too, my music kept stopping today at work. I’m guessing of course. Thanks for the time you’ve spent helping.

Are both his Plex servers running off of port 32400?

I had awhile back 2 servers on a local network, 1 main server and 1 server for testing, and had random drop issues like above, i ended up changing the port to 32401 for my testing server, which seemed to correct the issue.

Of course he could be having a totally different issue, but something to look into =)
