Why does my Plex Server goes offline during Scheduled Maintenance?

The only way I can get it back online is if I do a full restart.

Your PMS should not be going offline. It may be that something is crashing during the process. Please provide your PMS logs.

Here is my logs after my PC was restarted.

Thank you very much for your help !

Hello,

Any updates moving forward?

My server continues to go offline during scheduled maintenace between the hours of 9am-2pm. The only way to get the server back online is to do a full system reboot. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

Thanks

I don’t see the actual issue, but I notice that your logs only cover a short amount of time (~ 1.5 hours). PMS restarted itself several times in the short amount of time. Are you trying to run PMS as a service?

I thought Plex runs as a service on its own?
Ideally, i want my Plex server to run 24/7 with a scheduled maintenance that occurs everyday.

Today, I did notice that when “Upgrade media analysis during maintenance” is unchecked, the server doesn’t go offline.

If i turn this feature back online, and the server goes offline again during Scheduled Maintenance, could you further diagnose the problem if i provide a new log before I restart the PC?

Not by default. There is an option to start PMS when Windows starts, but it’s not a service. It only loads when you log into Windows, which is not the same as a service. There is a thread, http://forums.plex.tv/discussion/93994/pms-as-a-service#latest, that discusses running PMS as a service. I ask because I see issues about the trayicon not being able to load, which I’ve only seen when using the methods described in that thread.

Let me check your current logs first to see if there is anything there related to the media analysis.
