Why is plex showing me titles not in my library and how to disable?

my settings:
I have all online media sources disabled.

When I search for something not in my library it shows the title as if I have it and then tries to direct users to a different streaming services.

This confuses everyone in my friends and families list until they give up using plex entirely.

How do I turn discovery, online sources, and showing items not in the library off ?

2 time lifetime Plex Membership user.

How do we disable Plex Discover ?

Is there a feature request or feedback area where we can tell the developers that we want the ability to turn this off ?
All of my friends who use Plex agree that they do not like the direction the changes are going. It is entirely for monetization. That is fine just give us the option to turn it off, we are paying for the service.

Maybe I should just roll back to a version that does not force these choices down our throats and never update again.

Despite having given the Plex company a small mint, I’m thinking of switching to Emby permanently.

This is a bit of an excessive reaction to the Discovery feature. Note, I do dislike this new “feature” as well, but it’s not something that can’t be ignored. The results for this only appear if you skip past all local server results and look at the “More Ways to Watch” section which shows results for your search that you do not have in your library. Since you do not have it, its trying to help to show which streaming service you might find it on.

As for rolling back, I’m afraid you cannot (easily). It was an update to the players, not your server. So you would have to use your own server’s web app instead of the hosted (and never update the server), and roll back all player apps in which you want this feature gone.
