Can someone explain why director and writers have been removed from the movie detail page. It seems we only recently got support for multiple directors after years of asking and now they’ve removed them altogether.
I really hope this is a temporary causality of the experimenting with adding the sharing/reporting feature to this page. If it is, it’d be really helpful for people who want to help with testing if these changes were explained in the release notes in detail. Otherwise it just seems like you removed them for no reason.
If they have been removed permanently, please put them back. We do not need “Activity by…” taking up so much room on the item detail page. The item detail page should show people info on the item first and foremost, if you want to show-horn a social network into Plex, do it further down the page.
Please put directors and writers back on the item detail page AND please change the header back so that it only takes up one line. Making it two lines instead of one is wasting space that could be used to expand the synopsis or to keep important things like Directors, Writers. The review scores make much more sense under the synopsis as well.
You don’t need to mimic the bad item details screens on streaming services. You’re Plex, you’re supposed to be better.
