Why Im leaving plex

Ill keep this short, as im sure ill just get flamed and told to leave. Ive been using plex for over 6-7 years at this point, Ive been plexpass for 5 years. But in the past year things just keep getting worse(because 4k), and long standing issues have never been fixed.

– Ive had audio sync issues on web for as long as I can remember, and see the same in android TV(shield)

– Plex HATES 4k movies. It doesnt matter the audio codec. my movies play(in plex) for 2-3 minutes, then im prompted that my network is too slow and it stops. Which is so not the case its a joke. Plex just simply stops streaming the data out at all. I have zero issues with playback in Emby
------ this is my biggest issue and motivation to leave. it just makes things unusable, and I need
something to work.

I need plex to work, it doesnt anymore and I just see it getting worse. Nor do I see progress on any of the issues I experience.

Not a flame: I’m 100% in support of people using the product that works best for them. Emby works for you? Use it! Life is short, go enjoy your content :slight_smile:

If that works for you, that’s fine. Emby is not the fix for myself at present but who knows in time. As for 4K I have a few unresolved issues but it seems it’s Audio and hardware compatibility. DLNA just works so at present my Lifetime Pass is paid for and 4K is still minimal availability. I declare, I’m happy camper.
