It seems like for a long time home videos have been very neglected. I don’t think it would take much to make it a lot easier to add videos. It would be nice if the media server could parse The video names from the filenames. It also be nice when creating a home series section if the series names could be parsed from the folder names. Just a couple quick suggestions
Being able to group home movies is a critical, oft-requested feature that continues to be ignored
Yes it would be nice but since you cannot at this time I tagged the title into the files and plex picked that up fine.
This is what I use and do not have any issues with my home movies
