Why is my bandwith over PS4 App limited to 720p in local network

Hello,

The following setup:

  • Plex Server instaled on Windows 10, CPU i7
  • 3TB Zyxel NAS
  • Android TV conneted over LAN (through 8 port switch)
  • PS4 connected over LAN (through 8 port switch)

I paid the 5 Euro for using the Plex app on my mobile device
I also subscribed to PlexPass with monthly subscription

I can stream in HD/4k to the AndoidTV with both, using the AndoidTV-PlexApp or using the app on my phone over GoogleChromeCast.

Why does the PS4-App restrict the bandwith to a limit of 720p. I thought i need to pay the 5 Euro to activate the PS4 PlexApp but i cant find no setting like this.

Let me know if you need any logs or furrther information

I double and triple check all settings to limit the bandwidth. Alle restrictions are none limited now but it still doesn’t work?

you cannot pay for activating the plex ps4 app. only the android app costs money. iOS and ps4 are completely free. dunno what you paid there.

OK, thx for that. I paid the 5 euros on the iPhone App which i didnt have to while doing the subscription a short while later…

But why is it still limited on the PS4?
