Why is Plex changing all my movie covers?

Server Version#: 1.40.0.7998 (QNAP)
Player Version#: n/a

As the title says, I took a day out of my life to go through all of my movies covers and change them to suit me. A few months on and Plex has updated these covers for other versions forcing me to change them back manually.

I figured there was an ‘auto update metadata’ option enabled somewhere but I can’t seem to find one.

Any ideas please, it’s super annoying!

Thanks

I just found in Extras:
‘Refresh local metadata every 3 days’
and
‘Refresh library metadata periodically’

Going to assumes its one of hem and switch them both off.

That’s why.
It sucks and it’s messing up my entire library when my metadata refreshes so now I am having to manually go through close to 3000 films and set the artwork to stop it changing again.
Yay

Just add your own custom artwork, that’s what i had to do for movies and TV and plex was always changing them. Here is some websites i use besides TVDB and MovieBD for artwork

theposterdb ends with a dot com but google it and the other as they are safe to use, 10 out of 10 for cover art. They have a lot.
fanart ends with a dot tv, i use this mainly for background art. (TV Thumbs) in the selection.

I have most of my artwork sorted in plex now and when i add a new movie or show i add the art work based on plex naming conventions and im all good as they will never change. I do change artwork from the png format to jpg to save on space.
