Renaming files while in the library could fail (likely). You’ll need to reset the bundles for the whole show now that it has a new name:
The Plex Dance:
remove entire show from library
update library
clean bundles
empty trash <-------- : https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200392106-Library-ActionsEnsure all the names are correct - with the apostrophe
replace show into library
update libraryTypically if you want a drama-free co-existence with Plex name your files correctly before they hit the library. I do this all the time myself by checking TVDB or TMDB before I add something I’m not completely sure is named correctly. An apostrophe could easily be neglected, but apparently Plex and TVDB think it’s important.
The rumor is that MKV files with embedded metadata aren’t read by Plex, but it won’t hurt a thing to move LMA… in case you ever want to use an MP4 file that has bogus metadata…
FileBot will pre-match your files with the appropriate database - TVDB in this case - and name your files absolutely correct. FileBot wouldn’t have neglected that little apostrophe even though a meat based operator could have easily done so.
All file now names are now correct with apostrophe. I removed the entire show from the library. Updated and everything was deleted when updated. I replaced the show in the library and updated again. Still the same thing. I am good with Seasons 1-4 and then Season 5 only gives me episodes 1-18 and Season 6 only gives me 1-17. >
