Why is Plex so fragile? The DVR chokes too often when I try to record more than 2 shows at a time!

I have a WD PR2100 with 2 HDHomeRun Connect boxes (ie., 4 tuners), all of which are connected on a single hardware switch. On rare occasions, it can actually record 4 shows at once, but it usually fails at least one of the recordings. (It just stops the recording and shows the yellow triangle symbol. When I click on it, I get no error message.) I just had Plex crash on me when it tried to record 4 shows. I have 500+ GB of space available, and the PR2100 has hardware encoding. I have ad removal turned off and on-the-fly transcoding turned off. I currently have logging turned off, but I’ll turn it back on in a few hours. I’m willing to turn over my logs (again - this isn’t the first time - sigh), but I have to confess I’m getting a little frustrated by these constant (intermittent) failures. I have a $300 ChannelMaster DVR+ in my living room that is annoyingly limited in UI features, but it just consistently works, day in and day out…

To answer the obvious questions, yes I keep the server software and firmware up to date (Plex and otherwise). I’m not a Linux guru. Are there any commands I can run to assess the overall health of the server (bandwidth, disk i/o)? Obviously, the web interface for the server gives me a lot of this info, but if there’s something wrong with this box, it’s not spilling the beans. I have PuTTY installed, so running commands aren’t a problem. I’ll check for replies tomorrow…

Ok, Plex crashed on me again, so I reverted back to version 1.9.6.4429, a version I don’t believe I was having problems with. (There may be a later robust version, but I didn’t take note of it…) I’m not doing any more debugging until a new Plex version is released…

Sorry, I have no answers, but I can give a “me too”. Monday night 12/18 at 7:59PM I was direct playing one program when 2 other programs were supposed to start recording simultaneously. And crash/boom, PMS went down. PMS 1.10.1.4561, Windows 10, HDHomeRun Prime (3 tuners). No commercial skip enabled, no live TV in progress. Logs attached from right afterwards…
