Is there a specific log I can look into as to why my Plex server falls offline about once a week? I have HD Sentinel installed and know all my drives are 100%. I typically reboot every 3-4 days to refresh resources. Share to about 15 friends and never have issues really outside of it falling offline occasionally and want to know why.
I don’t know till friends tell me, which I feel like it’s becoming less dependable for them. I setup “Notify My Android” through PlexPY notifications to alert me if remote access being down or server offline, but only occasionally works right. They end up notifying me, I team viewer in to the server, see it in fact it is offline, and either reboot or close the server Plex app and re-open it to fix the issue. How can I tell why it fails?
Is the Plex icon gone from the tray area or is just the remote connection gone?
99% sure icon stays (and doesn’t disappear once hovering over it, as in if it crashed but icon appears to be live until you go to click it). Will look closer next time. Any other ideas, assuming it DOES typically stay, which I believe is the case?
If the icon stays, then nothing is crashed.
What may be more likely: your router has deleted the portforwarding which was established at the launch of Plex Server automatically (by means of UPnP).
Create a portforwarding manually, then tell Plex about it.

It’s not deleting any port forwarding. Closing the app and reopening or rebooting the system fixes the issue. When the issue arises, it shows “server settings unavailable” when you try to go into the settings section.
I do the above steps and I can re-access “settings” and shows remote connections as available again.

You did not mention that before.
Have you updated to the very recent server version?
If so, did the issue occur with this version as well, yet?
Didn’t mention what before? I meantioned I have alerts if remote access goes down - assumed that was clear that port forwarding was setup, apologies.
Newest server build updated today, but this has been a reoccurring issue for awhile. Randomly once every two weeks or so it just drops out
The server icon does not disappear when this fails offline. Server just drops out, icon stays, no one can connect and settings say “settings unavailable” until I restart the system, or close the Plex icon in the tray and re-open the plex app to restart the server
