For some reason my plex server is showing up twice in both the browser-based plex app on the server itself and in players. One is shown as “nearby” when on the local net, which I would expect. But the other always shows as “offline”. I can delete the offline one on the server gui but it comes back again a few minutes later.
did you at some point do a re-install or migration of your system?
Plex recognizes its servers not only by name but also some device specific identifier.
if the “offline” server is a leftover from an earlier setup of your server, just delete it from https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/devices (servers)
