Why is the cost of a Plex pass Lifetime so much more expensive on Google play?

Hi…
Just wondering why a lifetime Plex Pass costs $219.99aud in the Google play store when it ‘only’ costs $159.99aud when clicking “Go Premium” in the web app?.. I can understand a little mark up in Google play to cover whatever fees may be incurred, but $60 seems a little harsh…

Just guessing here since I never sold anything on Googles Playstore but I have experience with Apple App Store and assume they both work similar. So for starters Apple keeps a 30% share from your In-App-Purchases. To cover this up, you have to increase your prices which will increase the price to around 208 aud. But then you can’t just pick any price. You have to choose one tier that is setup in the system. It could be that there just isn’t a tier at 209.99 only at 199.99 and 219.99 so you have to choose which one you pick…and obviously almost everyone would choose the higher option.

Again: This is just some guess-work of mine and could be totally wrong. My suggestion would be to buy the pass directly since it won’t bind you to google just in case you leave them behind in the next few days/months/years to come.
