Why is video transcoding on my Shield? (Logs attached)

Player Version#: Nvidia Shield TV Pro

Recently I tried to disable surround sound in the Shield system settings. I wanted to force Plex to downmix all my audio streams to stereo (I find surround sound mixes to be too loud at night). This results in EAC3/AC3 5.1 streams being transcoded to AAC 5.1. This has the other unintended side effect of Plex transcoding all my video streams unnecessarily.

Can someone please take a look at my logs and tell me what might be going on? Also why it’s not downmixing to stereo?
