Hi, I see a lot of issues of text to small and not readable from a distance.
But instead of solving that and opening server app. Why not make a native app for windows pc’s?
I have my pc attached to my 4K tv
So I don’t wanna use the smart tv app and stream over WiFi if I have my own pc connected over hdmi.
Streaming 4K video in a lower quality is pointless if I could have full power over hdmi
But when I wanna watch on tv from my server I have to open server app that is not really useful
Why not make an app like the iOS app? That works perfectly that doesn’t use browser and that is dedicated on library view and playing your collection?
I was not aware of that plex media player version either. Thank you
I needed to mention since i only use that pc as a backup for all my files and to play video. So not connected to internet. It has win 7 on it . Because I used to use windows mediacenter until now. And it always did a very good job.
And to be honnest. I just installed PMP and it sucks big time. I have double images. Layover images that wont dissapear and terrible refresh lag. Damn that program really is bad.
In IOS app everything is instant. Now i’m a direct link to my database on a performant pc and it really doesn’t work at all. And yes i tried already all settings like TV mode…
I have a picture from small window over a big window, and also 2 menu’s on top of eachother.
Damn this is really really bad (yes i said it twice on purpose)
Did some more testing and the problem is “full screen”
When i leave the program in a window it works fine and instant on all buttons and library switches.
Once i go to full screen, then it crashes and you get overlay windows. And terrible lag.
I work on a Winows 7 64 bit and screen setting is set to 125%
Plex Media Player does not play nice with display scaling. Try turning it off and see if things improve. For whatever reason the desktop Plex clients have always been buggy and in the last few years it seems like updating the Windows and Mac clients has been an afterthought at best. Plex also seems to be pulling an Apple, where listening to your customers is for suckers and improvement is measured by how many features you remove not add.
