Nvidia Shield is the best that I find for stream movies on Plex in my home server, however… I don’t know, why the cast and crew is not showing up in the movie info.
I can see everything, but not the cast (actors)
Is there a feature not available for Shield?
Is some wrong setting?

I’m not using my Nvidia Shield like a Server, i’m using my Shiled like a Client.
Everything works perfect, jus this detail.
Good question ! I’d also like to have the cast in the Shield Plex client. They are definitely present, as I see the cast in the web app.

Yes, in the web and server side on my PC I can see everything. Even on my old ATV4 and the Roku
I’m moving this thread to the Android TV section which is where questions for the client should go. This section is for the Shield as a server. As a server, the cast info is there. As a client, it hasn’t been implement.

It’s almost as if it’s hard to develop multiple clients at the same time…
It’s hardly earth shattering at the moment. I’m sure it will get there eventually.

Just bare in mind, I suffered through almost a year of stuttering video back in 2015. The app has improved dramatically not only in feature set but in quality of playback.

It’s interesting to see that when you search via plex, the actor images do in fact come up.
Hopefully this means it won’t be hard to add to movie/tv show pre play screens

Is in the movie info section, and is using the client, not the server on Shield.
I’ve posted about this several times. It is very strange to not know who stars in a movie. At the very least, list the top 3-5 actors?!? Just text, until a better solution is implemented. This is more important than things like the video quality and studio and other such information…
This is the only thing I’m missing the most on plex for android.
