I installed OpenPHT version 1.5.2 on my PC so I can try it before replacing the older PHT version 1.4.1 on my HTPC. Visually I see no difference between this and PHT. Why would I want to use one over the other?
Have you looked at the release notes to see what has been added?
Have to agree with @hthighway, they have made quite a few updates. Also, if you want to keep using PHT, this is where the support is coming from since Plex is no longer maintaining PHT. There is no visual difference because it’s the same application, they have just taken over providing updates/features for it.
There are so many fixes but the most important for me was ability to load different subs while transcoding.
Thanks. The old PHT hasn’t given me any problems, but I’ll give it a go!
Also, it’s still early. The gap between PHT and OpenPHT will grow wider over time.
Thanks for the comments. I switched over to OpenPHT.
