Plex won’t update on Sony tv.
I have reinstalled app several times.
Do you mean the latest update or in general? Updates are staged so you may not get it auto updated for a couple of days after release but afaik you should be able to go to Google play and use the install button to push the update to device.

I’m not sure what you mean by “added”. Do you not see the update in Google Play? It was just released about 20 hours ago.
I mean that there are no new tv shows, movies etc. It’s been the same with nothing “recently added”.

Do you see new items in other Plex apps like in web browser at https://app.plex.tv ? Are they adding to your Plex Media Server fine? or does someone else give you access to their server?

Can you please take a screenshot of what you see. I’m not sure if you are referring to our free streaming content that has commercials or from a Plex Media Server.
I took a look at your account and I only see a Plex Media Server that someone gave you access to. That is their server we don’t control it. If they have not added new things or took their server offline then you need to speak with them
Plex is two different things
- a streaming service. Sort of like Tubu were things are free to view but there are commercials about every 10 minutes or so.
- We make a Plex Media Server application which anyone can install on their computer. Folks add their movie rips, like how folks convert CDs to MP3’s for music in iTunes but instead are converting DVDs to video files). The the person who has the Plex Media Server can give their friends access to their server to watch their video files.
Both of the above use the same Plex player apps like on your Sony TV or your iPad
From what I can see you are in group number 2 where someone gave you access to their Server. I don’t know who that person is but they are the only one that can add new things to their Plex Media Server. That is why i said you would need to speak with them about it. If someone is pretending to be us and selling you access to their Plex Media Server then they are breaking our terms of service.
