Hey there! I just upgraded to a lifetime Plexpass so here’s a little request :wink:

Integration with the WiiM Home app/WiiM Mini & WiiM Pro streamer.

Just to be able to link it to my Plex account and select it as an endpoint for bit-perfect and gapless playback would be amazing.

I know that with Chromecast support, bit-perfect playback should now be achievable on the WiiM Pro, but not gapless. + the already super popular & very capable Mini doesn’t have Chromecast support.

Many people are asking for Plex support on their forums as well, but I’m not sure if either Plex or WiiM should take the initiative…

I am also interested in this. It would be great to have plex as a source in the WiiM Home app and also to have Plexamp see a WiiM Mini

+1 from me for Wiim Mini support. Great little device and would be a perfect addition to PlexAmp.

Adding my vote here. I suppose it’s something Wiim will have to include in their app software, but it’d be great none the less

Wanted to add my vote for the WiiM Pro.

If it could handle Plexamp natively, I can only imagine how many people who can’t get their hands on a Pi, or just don’t want to jump through hoops, would use it as their primary music streamer. (With a Plex Pass, of course.)

Why isn’t there an option in PlexAmp to stream to a Wiim streamer? Seems like it would be there?

How do you mean “it seems like it would”?

I don’t think we’ll ever see support by Plex for 3rd party players in general except for Airplay/Chromecast enabled devices.

I already bought another Raspberry Pi 4 setup so I could move on with my life :slightly_smiling_face:

Personally I specifically want PlexAmp support, the gapless, crossfading, smart playtlist options are what I want to control to my receiver, with the slick interface of my phone as a remote to talk to it. It’s about getting files from a NAS or Hardrive to the receiver without tampering with the audio quality, and not using the phone as part of the audio loop. (airplay)

I.E. Play this playlist and crossfade the songs seamlessly is all im asking for… without sacrificing audio quality. PLEASE :slight_smile:
