Will Plex DVR manage multiple HDHomerun Connect tuners (USA version)

Drats I have the same issue.
I have had a HDHomerun Prime for several years and just purchased a “Quattro OTA tune”.
Went thru firmware stuff and Plex recognizes BOTH. It even scans for the channels available on both.
However, it looks as though no EPG will be shown for the OTA channels.
Bit “disappointing” to say the least. When they add the OTA Quattro to their lineup it’s hardly a surprise that customers will want to see and record both Cable and OTA.

@IRJ8 it works you just have to match your OTA channels to the cable channel number. Most cable providers should have all the OTA channels in their guides

IRJ8, can you supply more details on how to do that? In my case the OTA equivalent channels are in the 600’s, where as the OTA numbers are frequency numbers and sub-channels, like ##.#. If you could remap the two, then I can see how the single EPG would work. However, I don’t see anyway to remap the channels.

I came here looking for this, I’m in this same boat with a cable tuner and an OTA tuner but not getting all the shows I expected. Really bummed that plex can’t do both. I figured that when I mapped the appropriate OTA channels to the cable guide data that I’d be set, but that definitely isn’t working :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

Would a workaround for this be to stand up a secondary Plex server that only did OTA DVR?

I stumbled upon this thread trying to do the exact thing as above… I want to use the EXTEND so I can transcode DVR/Live TV when recording/watching a local channel.

even if in the channel setup area, I ‘map’ the local frequency channel number to my cable channel, and then I un-map the channel on my PRIME tuner, when I try and tune to the channel, I receive an error that no tuner is available…

whats interesting, and what would be great to have happen, is how the Channels App on iOS/tvOS handles multiple tuners. it just adds the frequency channel numbers to the beginning of the guide, so it combines them… this works perfectly! how can I suggest this as a feature request?

First of all I have Mohu Digital antenna (Sky 60) and it works great. I have over 50+ stations and all come in crystal clear on my 4K TV. Now my experiences, I have 2 HDHomeRuns, one is a Dual and the other is a Connect. When either one is connected to Plex by itself I have no issues. When I add both to Plex, Plex will run for about 8 to 12 hours with no issues and recording up to 4 shows at once but then Plex will stop recording and stops working. The website is still accessible but can’t play anything (no movies or tv). I can restart Plex and again it will work for about 8 to 12 hours and freeze again. I have had this issue for more than a week and ended up disconnected one of the turners and my issues went away. Has any one experienced similar issues?

If you split, make sure you have a strong signal.
